The Italian Physical Society (SIF) organizes the Summer Courses 2017 of the International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi” from 26th June to 19th July at Villa Monastero, in Varenna, Lake of Como. In this framework, the GSSI, which is among the sponsors, has launched the Course 200 “Gravitational Waves and Cosmology”, from 3rd to 12th July.

The Courses represent a special and precious opportunity for scientists and young physicists from all over the world to meet and discuss, and have gained considerable international prestige. At the end of the Courses, all lectures and seminars are gathered and published in the prestigious series “Proceedings of the International School of Physics Enrico Fermi” of the Italian Physical Society.

The Course co-organized by the GSSI will be dedicated to topics related to gravitational waves and cosmology and directed by Eugenio Coccia (GSSI), Nicola Vittorio (University of Rome Tor Vergata), and Joseph Silk (Johns Hopkins University, Paris Institute of Astrophysics). The participation fee is € 1400 for attendance, board, lodging and proceedings. The application form attached below must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots.
