Félix Modrego is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Applied Economics at the Social Sciences Unit, GSSI. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Catholic University of the North (Antofagasta, Chile) and Researcher at the Latin American Center for Rural Development (Santiago, Chile). He holds a PhD in Spatial Sciences from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) and a MSc in agricultural economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. His current research interests are the economic geography of entrepreneurship and innovation and regional inequalities and territorial development, particularly in Latin American countries. He has published articles in international journals such as World Development, Journal of Regional Science, Small Business Economics, Spatial Economic Analysis and Development Policy Review.
