I come from a little city named Capracotta in Molise where I lived until I enrolled in Faculty of Physics at Università degli Studi dell'Aquila. In 2011 I got the bachelor's degree with a thesis concerning the analysis of the recalescence phenomenon of the germanium, then I started the master degree in Physics and Astrophysics of the Elementary Particles also in L'Aquila. In this period I started to get interested in experimental high-energy physics so I decided to get a thesis in the Gran Sasso Laboratori with the GERDA collaboration.
GERDA (Germanium Detector Array) is a new generation experiment searching for neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ) of 76Ge. In my thesis work I studied the performances of BEGe detectors with new front-end electronics for the phase II of GERDA. Also I developed and applied an optimized pulse filtering method, to better evaluate the event energy and then improve the sensistivity on 0νββ of the experiment. I'm also interested in other sectors of physics both experimental and theoretical, expecially concerning the particle physics beyond the standard model.
