The 6th edition of the "Young Researcher Meeting" will be held at the Gran Sasso Science Institute in L’Aquila on October 12th - 14th 2015.
Maintaining its successful format, the meeting will be organised in sessions, each one dedicated to an active research field in Physics.
Topics will cover Fundamental Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology, Condensed Matter and Applied Physics. The full program is available here.
Young researchers are encouraged to present their research work in an informal atmosphere, fostering discussion and exchange of ideas on recent developments and new research lines. As for previous editions, key aspects are the interaction between different branches of Physics and the activation of fruitful, international collaborations.
The dynamic program of this year meeting will also feature a lectio magistralis and a guided tour of the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS) on the final day.
Undergraduates, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to apply for short talks (20 min) or poster presentations.
Registration is now open on the event website and the deadline for abstract submission is September 7th 2015.
Speakers may apply for a partial reimbursement of expenses, as we can provide a limited amount of grants.
As usual, the proceedings of the meeting for both talks and posters will be published on Journal of Physics: Conference Series.
We know that young researchers have limited funding for conferences, therefore, thanks to the support of our sponsors, GSSI and LNGS, we have not introduced a registration fee or extra costs for the proceedings.
