Nuclear emulsion is a type of photographic film, but it is capable of detecting the charged particle tracks with 3D infor- mation and extremely high spatial resolution. Nuclear emulsion technologies have just entered new era. The key technologies are self-production system of nuclear emulsion and high speed au- tomatic readout system to analyze the charged particle tracks. Consequently, nuclear emulsion should take an important role for both academic and application science therefore it is very unique detector. In this seminar, latest nuclear emulsion tech- nology and the directional dark matter search study as a new project using the nuclear emulsion will be reported.
