The goal of this mini-workshop is to address latest advances in the theory of optimal transport and its applications to partial differential equations of diffusive, transport, and kinetic type, with particular focus on models arising in reaction-diffusion systems, continuum and quantum physics, cell and population biology, ecology, and socio-economical sciences. In particular, the workshop will focus on cutting-edge topics such as unbalanced optimal transport, multi-marginal transport, applications of optimal transport to mean-field games and kinetic models. Both analytical and numerical methods for PDEs will be presented. This mini-workshop will aim at fostering interaction among experts in the field and young researchers. The event is sponsored by the French Embassy in Italy (within the scheme "Giornate di studio Italo-Francesi"), the Gran Sasso Science Institute, the Italian "Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica" (INdAM), and the "MathMods" and "InterMaths" programmes at the DISIM Department of the University of L'Aquila.
